I know I am falling in love...

I know I am falling in love...

I look at you, I keep staring!
I think of you, I keep thinking!
Even in sleep, I keep dreaming!
Do I have to tell you I dream only of you?
Even you know I am falling in love...

I miss you when you go elsewhere!
I vie for you when you are not near!
My glance at you twines into your stare!
Do I have to tell you I blush when you glance through?
Even you know I am falling in love…

I know I am falling in love…
‘coz I see it in your deep eyes!
They tell me even you are falling in love…
Really!! Even you are falling in love!

Weekend!

It is Saturday today…. Supposedly a weekend and to be precise, it’s a long weekend, Monday being a holiday. It’s 4 o’clock in the evening now. Out there is chilly… The temperatures have plunged to -15 degrees Celsius. How I wish I had some company today so that I could have sat in the warm confines of my house having a cup or two of hot Masala Tea, chatting… But alas! Here I am, sitting alone and penning this post down.
Before that, today morning I had my class. It was a three hours long humdrum lecture. Every Saturday morning is gonna be the same for me at least for this semester since I have taken this particular course. It was the first lecture of the course and a huge project was assigned right in the first class. Guess now my entire weekend is gonna be spent in thinking about how to proceed with the project.
Hey…There was a little sparkle to this day with a friend of mine visiting me. Though he was here for a very short while, still the time spent together was fun. We had some good food and then sat over a cup of tea. All “India memories” got freshened up. It was a brief time very well spent!!!

An overall okayish day with some good as well as boring hours spent. Now that I am alone again, I don’t really wanna think about the project again. Hopefully this evening brings with it some more refreshing moments… Ameen!!

A New Day!

Here I am, standing on the skylight of my 39th floor apartment, gazing at the antennae of the Sears Towers and an awesome Chicago-City-View. Until recently I did not realize that I have this picturesque view right from my windowpane… The reason being a lot of worries, worries that although are mundane, I am not used to living with them. So all my energy got concentrated in getting rid of them.
Now that I have gotten rid of almost all the worries that troubled me off late, I think I should get back to my studies-mode. MSMIS is a great coursework with a lot of new things to offer that I can, in some or the other way, relate to my earlier technical knowledge. A whole new arena with a lot of new experiences to gain!! A lot of great courses with a lot of cool and challenging assignments that take a hell out of you!! I am sure I am gonna have some of the best times completing those assignments! Again.. finding new friends in my fellow classmates is something I have always enjoyed :) . Plus I must say experiencing Chicago winters is a whole new romance, with temperatures plummeting well below zero degrees Celsius!
Keeping track with the new experiences, I also cook regularly these days… Believe me its great fun and a superb stress-buster too! :) (Someone’s gonna feel happy reading that ;) )

Current feeling... "A new day has come!"

The Last Time...

They say, “There’s always a first time!”
Today I feel that there is always a last time as well!!

This Diwali is the “last” one for me in many ways than one…
First it is my last Diwali at my parents’ home… the last one before I leave for US… the last one as a spinster…
This Diwali I am leaving behind many doors, many faces, many thoughts, some dreams and some grievances… hoping never to look back and repent over what all I have left behind… coz I also know that this Diwali there are many “First Times” for me as well… and I am all raring to welcome them all with both my hands wide open! :)

God's favourite child!

I always feel that I am God's favourite child. I have had enough experiences in my life for me to feel that!
Recently I met with a car-accident. With the magnitude that it had, it would have been fatal for me. But I escaped it with not even a single scratch on my body!!! Call it a mere coincedence or the Divine intervention, today I am here... sound and very much alive!!!
I always got what I wanted in my life. I was always kept away at a safe distance from what I should'nt have in my life. I was always surrounded by people who love me and that made me strong enough to face the ones who didn't! I always got second chance to correct my mistakes, however incorrigible they were! The decisions that I made always proved to be right through the course of time. Doesn't all this really mean that I am His favourite child and that He always has a caring and protecting hand on me?
Hopefully this continues till I am alive and I remain His favourite child all through!! :)

The Oracle Experience!

Finally it’s time to bid adieu to Oracle….

Tomorrow is my last working day… and for reasons unknown, I am really feeling very nostalgic. I have enjoyed my 6-month stay at Oracle thoroughly. There was a lot to learn plus there was a lot to enjoy. My Oracle-Experience can be bulleted as…
- Successful completion of Siebel 7.7 core exam. All the learning was a domain-enhancing experience indeed!
- Interacting and making friends with a 30-odd member team. I have all of them in my Orkut Friends’ list! :-)
- Friendly work-culture and yet very competitive. You are always on the edge to improve your performance in such a healthy atmosphere…
- How can I forget tea-time snacks!!! ;-)
- Our Snow-World and Eat-Street picnic!! Remember guys… if anyone of you reading this post? It really was a great fun!!!
- Last but not the least…. Now I have “The Oracle Brand” behind my name! :-)
The experience, though short-lived, was sheer fun to have!!! I think, thinking of re-employment with Oracle is not a bad option at all once I come back!!!

Can we forget?

Can we forget? Can we forget incidences we wish would never had happened to us? Can we forget people we wish would never had met us?

Perhaps not! Forgetting though is one of the most enigmatic wonders the human brain is adept at, we can not forget some even if we wish to...

People come, they go..

We forget them...

Just that in case of some it is difficult.

Why such a pain in forgetting some?

One simple answer...

It's difficult to forget the ones who have either given us extreme joy or extreme agony. That's life and it's extremely unfair... for the ones who did it forget it all and the ones who faced it are there to remember it for all their life...

"Forgive and Forget...." - Easier said than done!

Ode to Friendship!!!

My reunion with my school friends!!!
I had been to Pune this weekend. I was to hault at Abha's (That's one of my close friends) place there. Incidently Pooja (Ek aur dost) landed at Pune the same time. And she also stayed at Abha's!! Then we all were invited at Ashwini's (Yet another friend) place for lunch. We absolutely had a gala time at her place. Relishing sweet old memories, discussing our school, our get-togethers, our hang-outs, our past crushes... it was all so much fun...
The chitter-chatter was going on for the entire day and still we had many things to share with each other. The entire night as well fell short for our talks. It felt great to see my friends settle into the respective lives and careers of thier own choices. It felt great to share with them what I had achieved till date and what my further plans were. It felt great to hear their's as well!!!
In all, it was one of the most memorable time-outs that I had in the recent past!!!
Three cheers to our 'Gang of Gals!!!!

Nostalgia...

The most apt word for what I felt when I visited my school this weekend in my trip to Nagpur…
“Somalwar High School, Khamla” That’s the name of my Alma Mater. That’s the place where I spent perhaps the best days of my life!!!
Well, most of the teachers who had taught us had already retired. Nevertheless, a few were still there whom I met and they recognized me at the very first sight! I could see the warmth on their faces in acknowledgement of my visit to them and the school.
They inquired of my present activities, of my fellow classmates and their whereabouts. They also had reminiscences of how nice our batch was… One of them said that our batch was an all-rounder batch with students excelling in all fields and that it feels great to see their students soar to such great heights.
For me, it was an altogether a new and enriching experience to rediscover my school. Now I feel all the more pride in saying, “Yes! That’s my school!” My school is something that belongs to me… forever!!!

Hold My Hands...

One fine day he said to me “Just be with me and hold my hands all throughout…
and we shall sail through life TOGETHER..”

I said… “You hold my hands love…”

He asked, “What’s the difference?”

I answered “Darling, I know if I hold your hand and…
Our fate turns hostile, then the grip might loosen…
But I know if you hold my hand,
You will hold it tight all through...”

Hearing this he held my hands and promised me he’ll never leave them…
The moment was bliss, a cherished dream was realised!
Time elapsed… Fate turned hostile…
Now I see him loosen the grip,
The grip I had firm faith upon…
Now I want to hold him back,
But he is slipping out of my hands like sand…
I can do nothing but see him disappear…
Leaving behind…
The hand that yearns…
For the firm grip that once held all of me together…
